Catfishing
According to whatis.techtarget.com, “ a catfish is someone who creates a false online identity”, which can be scary to think about because someone whom one is speaking to via social media ( Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, dating sites like: Tinder, and Grindr ) can be someone completely different on the other end. Two years ago, I was catfished from someone on Tinder. The girl seemed to good to be true, but were some indicators that they were not who they said they were such as: no social media which is strange for the millennials , would only text message , called me but never wanted to video chat or meet up, and changed the subject. People need to be careful on who they communicate with online due to the fact that they are trying to dupe the other individual, can expose / cause harm / even harm.
