News companies use certain headlines, quotes and pictures to convince the reader into reading their news story. A USA today story cover has "act of war" written in a large font size with the words "terrorist strike; death toll rises" written just below it. They also included a picture of the twin towers during the attack to emphasize how much terror the tragedy caused. USA today used this type of diction and picture to create an eye-catching cover that will keep readers on alert of any furthermore terrorist attacks or even the start of a new war. Rocky Mountain News uses a similar strategy by putting "our nation saw evil" in large words. The news company also included a picture of the twin towers during the explosion to take up the majority of the front page.
