Katherine Anne Couric, also known as Katie, is an American Journalist and author. Katie started her journalism career with ABC news where she was an assistant. She later became the first solo female anchor of CBS news in 2006. After she gained a lot of publicity in 2012 she became host of the ABC show called Katie. Since 2014, she has been the global news anchors for Yahoo news. I asked my friend if she knew the name Katie Couric and she responded saying, " I think my mom used to watch a talk show called Katie, is the show about her?" Katie has been on of the most influential journalist not only for females but for men as well. Katie started off at a desk job, she didn't get things handed to her, she had to work for her successful career.
