Movie trailers

Movie trailers are some of the best sources of rhetorical language in how they try to convince people that they need to see the film. Sometimes there are films that I see the trailer and think, I would never want to see that, and my wife would turn to me to say “we have to go see that movie” and all based on the same trailer we just watched.
One movie that recently this happened to me this week was Isn’t it romantic with Rebel Wilson. I really didn’t want to like this movie, so I had to ask my wife, what about the trailer had her convinced that she needed to see this film. Movie studios or the people making the trailers have the job to convince people to want to see the movie within a very short period of time that the commercial airs. Listening to the trailer and hearing her reasons, I can see how the rhetorical language used in the trailer with what I guess are the best parts of the movie might convince some people to go watch the movie if the ideas stick a chord with some.
