Should we trust everything we read?
Books are one of the most relied source of any information we need in today’s time. For some reason we trust the words of something that is written way back in the days without the technology we have right now, which is the internet, so all the facts, definitions, theories, etc we believe just because it is written down word for word. Schools, colleges, universities all focus on the old ways for educating students-‘we study textbooks, memorize and then regurgitate their contents in an exam’
We tend to depend on these sources which set's our mind to a particular way of living and also makes us dependent on certain things in our life rather than venturing out, and finding information or answers a different way.
Where I’m going with this is that since this generation is all about our smartphones, laptops, etc the first things we see on these screens we believe it without a doubt thinking that it is out in the world for everyone to read because it is true, right?
