As it is known, catching the attention of readers is the main goal for newspapers as their business is dying while technology is booming. So how do they continue to grab the attention of readers? The answer is their front page visuals. As seen in 2015, when same-sex marriage was legalized the words "equality", "love", and "historic ruling" were sprawled across every front page news article. As well as the chosen word choice, pictures were also used to further engage readers.
