Dallas bartender charged with assaulting a woman he accused of blocking Deep Ellum parking lot exit

“A Dallas bartender is suspected of assaulting a woman during an argument in Deep Ellum after he told her to move her vehicle, police say”. Austin Shuffield, 30, has been charged with the assault to the 24-year old victim early Thursday morning at 2800 block of Elm Street. The woman had been driving the wrong way when she was suddenly stopped by Shuffield who told her to move as she was blocking the exit. They both moved into the parking lot and got into a verbal argument, which quickly turned physical as Shuffield continually slapped the victim's phone out of her hand when she attempted to call the police. While Shuffield is in the wrong for being so quick to resort to violence, I believe the woman is also at fault for causing the disruption in the first place.
