Florida lacrosse player temporarily paralyzed after hit walks out of hospital unaided

Chase Lalone, a Florida high school student, was temporarily paralyzed "from the chest down" after he was hit with the ball from behind (Hein, 2019). His teammates did not understand the severity of his injuries, until he had to go to rehab for the complications he had faced. They quickly realized that he was not giving up, as he started to walk out of the hospital on his own. As Lalone reached the door, he chanted "Pack your bags! Go out the door! No more rehab anymore!" (Lalone, 2019), which let everyone watching, know that he was going to fight for his recovery.
