The New York Times talks about Trump threatening to shut down the borders. The title of this article says, “Trump Threatens to Close Mexican Border Nest Week Over Immigration”. The thing is is that this title isn’t true. Trump will allow people to come over but they have to be documented. This means Trump isn’t wanting to deny immigrants but ones who don’t have documents, there is a difference. NYT says eventually says,"Mr. Trump said in a tweet that he would close large swaths, or all, of the southern border as early as “next week” if the Mexican government did not "immediately” stop all undocumented migrants.”. The language of this quote says a lot. They use “Mr. Trump” instead of president, which shows that this source doesn’t honor him as president for, i’m sure, many reasons. The author isn’t on his side so it makes sense if he or she is trying to use rhetoric to make Trump look bad.
