Film Journalism and How if Affects Fake News

In 2019, we're going to go through an incredible amount of blockbuster filmmaking and breaking news throughout the year. Avengers: Endgame is coming out in two weeks and we are being bombarded with different news stories coming from numerous sources. During the weekend of April 12, we're going to flooded with news from the "Star Wars Celebration" convention. Journalists have a big task ahead of them as they need to get the news and get it out quickly. Certain websites will quickly write up an article because they need to be the first to get the breaking news out. That will generally get a decent amount of clicks and generate revenue for the site, but the articles are very quickly written and could have spelling and grammatical errors along with not having all the information written. This is the business today in journalism. Getting the quick click on some breaking news before writing the proper article is the norm and recommended nowadays. According to Pulitzer Prize winning writer, Tony Kushner, "In a way, film and television are in the same sort of traumatic trance that print journalism is. The technology has outpaced our comprehension of its implications." I believe this quote is one of the reasons as to why we, as a people, are so susceptible to fake news and believing everything we see first.

This website is a good example of uploading useful and articulated articles.
