Amazon to make one-day shipping the standard on Amazon Prime
The standard delivery time for Amazon Prime orders use to be
two days but Amazon wants to start making the time to one day. “We’re currently
working on evolving our Prime free two-day shipping program to be s free one-day
shipping program.” Amazon’s chief financial officer Brian Olsavsky. Amazon
plans on spending $800 million in their year’s second quarter to build out the infrastructure
needed to make the one-day delivery possible. The program has been offering
one-day, same-day, and two- shipping times, but it was for only certain zip
codes for a limited number of products. However, in the recent months the
company has been expanding the number of zip codes and items for the one-day
