Hong Kong - Vox Borders

One of the many great series of Borders, by Vox, is when they did a multipart story involving Hong Kong’s border with China. Journalist Johnny Harris starts with investigating the larger national stories such as how the historical rule of England shaped the culture of Hong Kong and how China is trying to erase its border with Hong Kong.

“Although Hong Kong still has nearly 30 years of semi-autonomy left, China has started tightening its grip, and many believe it is chipping away at Hong Kong’s freedoms.”- In description.

While in Hong Kong, Borders also sheds light on how the growing population of Hong Kong is leading to cage homes and shares very personal and emotional stories of the citizens that live there. This deep dive into the history and current events of Hong Kong leads to an informational journey that is well worth taking. You can find the series here
