Two Contradicting N.Y.C. Tabloids

Remember this headline "Trump says 'strongly looking at' plan to send immigrants to sanctuary cities"? Well, these two contradicting headlines in the above picture will not fail to amuse you in how they are framing Trump's policies about immigration. This fight of “YOU TAKE EM” versus “WE’LL TAKE THEM” was even trending in Twitter. "Some noted that the Post's more Trump-friendly headline could be tied to the paper's views under Trump ally and owner Rupert Murdoch" said Twitter. Ignoring the fat cat for a bit, the typography of both headlines is similar, yet the meaning and tone behind them are completely different. One is aggressive while the other is sympathetic. Visual wise, it is safe to say Daily News won fair and square. Daily News fully embraces the meaning behind Statue of Liberty, a symbol of freedom and liberty. While the New York Post has a small picture of Trump and a fat cat, ''who ate all the tuna." But who knows, the cat might attract more glances than we think.
