   But what exactly are school districts? Based on what are they ranked? And who gets to rank them?

   These are questions I've always asked myself.

   
   

   To start off, a school district is a local administration of schools in a specific area. The ranking of the districts is usually based on stats, test scores, and school ratings. The ranking is also based on the student/teacher ratio, teacher/support staff ration, and math student percent proficiency.
