News information is being surfaced on multiple platforms such as, TV and social media platforms. Choosing which information is factual can be hard to detect. There are 4 tips to help you decipher between fake news vs real news. Tips 1: credible sources find authors who has evidence to back their claims. Tip 2: Quality and Time articles that are current and not recycled through misleading people with new titles and article with spelling errors. Tips 3: websites like fact-check.org are reliable websites to dectect fake news. And lastly Tip 4: Look at the visual aspect of the website does the websites deceit you with big graphic photos or scam you with pop up ads. According to Florida State University Law websites such as, “ Politifact, Poynter, and Sunlight Foundation can help you double check information you find on the internet.”
