Fats are not SCARY
When we talk about consuming fats we often think of fried, greasy and processed foods. While these foods fall in the fats category, they are not the only fat source we consume, they are what we call low density lipoproteins (LDL). Avocados, nuts and salmon are also fats but they fall in a different fats category called high density lipoprotein (HDL). While LDL's increase the risk of heart problems and the risk of atherosclerosis in general, recent studies show that HDL's are not only healthy for your heart and brains but they can reverse atherosclerosis.
