Google's Algorithm - Keywords

No matter who you are, I think we can both agree on at least one thing: Google’s algorithm is amazing. It always brings up what you want to find when you need it. But, not much thought goes into how that works, and how complicated of a process that is.

Google’s system is far too complicated to explain into a single, 100-ish word blog post, so I’ll just cover one aspect of their ranking system: keywords. But, just having keywords on a page does not mean a website will rank well for a search result. Rather, “Google looks for keywords throughout each Web page, but some sections are more important than others.”(source). For example, having the phrase “cake recipe” in the title likely means that webpage is about a recipe, rather than a story that happens to mention “cake recipe” somewhere within its depths.
