How to Fact Check
Fact checking has become a big thing in our world today given the amount of media that is bias as well as people that hold very high points of office (won’t say any names). It is because of this that we constantly have to fact check and be aware that just because they hold such a high seat in society doesn’t mean they can’t lie or just spit out random numbers. Everything that is said/done by the media needs to be fact checked so that the American people are getting the facts. It also why you, as a reader, must check and investigate multiple sources and make sure their numbers are similar and if not, they could be giving out “fake news. “We hope that conversation happens, but news readers themselves remain the first line of defense against fake news”, says Eugene Kiely and Lori Robertson, writers for factcheck.org.
