Jussi Smollet Hoax

Jussie Smollett hate hoax tweets

This story about Jussie Smollett too many holes from the beginning. If we had an unbiased media, the fake story would have been reported as is from the start. However, they media decided to run the story as truth after the fake story was more researched, (from the start of the incident most news sources reported on it did not even use the word “allegedly” when reporting on the attack) without even trying to uncover the truth. In this article, I agree with what President Trump about the bias that is happening in the news media, and usually I do not agree with him very often. Also, it said, “the story was too good to be true. So no one care whether it was or not”. Journalists are supposed to be nonpartisan in their reporting, and are supposed to further investigate before reporting on something that they pass out as facts. Furthermore, it is obvious that the media is bias. Journalist and news sources need to stick to reporting facts and let people come up with their own conclusions, also they should stop tailoring news to fit their own agendas or narratives - this goes for both sides. The most disturbing part is the amount of Hollywood celebrities and politicians that automatically jumped on the #JusticeforJussie bandwagon without bothering to look at the unraveling evidence that this was a hoax. Sadly, the real tragedy is that if people start doubting real victims of hate crimes because of this embarrassing incident.
