KILL THE MESSENGER

Your must-watch movie list needs to include "Kill the Messenger". The movie is based on the true story of the famous Pulitzer journalist: Gary Webb, a veteran journalist who has devoted his life to The San Jose Mercury-News newspaper.
In the 90s, Webb discovered a secret: The CIA has imported cocaine into California for sale, earning money to raise insurgents against the Nicaragua government. Despite warnings from drug dealers and even CIA agents, Webb still dug deeper and exposed the untold truth. The journey took him from California prisons to remote villages in Nicaragua, and then the top leader in Washington.

“I thought my job was to tell the public the truth, the facts; pretty or not, and let the publishing of those facts make a difference in how people look at things, at themselves, and what they stand for... “
Garry Webb
