News Feeds: Different news apps and how they spread

News Feeds: Different news apps and how they spread.

A huge majority of this society listens or gets the news through social media. It can be from Google News, CNN, and even Facebook. As your scrolling through face-book you would see news articles even though you are not necessary looking for news. According to tech crunch, “Facebook prioritizes stories you’ll like, comment on, share, click, and spend time reading, which we’ll refer to as “engagement”. Facebook also runs both online surveys and offline focus groups to get more feedback about what stories people think should appear”.  As with the CNN app, when someone goes on that app, they are more specifically looking for news, unlike face-book. Most people who is very interested in wanting to stay tuned and wanting to watch the news “live” would most likely go on the CNN app because they can watch it “live” from anywhere and everywhere via the app. You can learn more of how and what they are achieving with their goals at https://digiday.com/media/how-cnn-is-getting-tv-viewers-to-use-its-apps/ .
