Netflix vs Hulu

Netflix vs Hulu

Netflix and Hulu, the two biggest video streaming sites on the internet that have amassed into major online industries. Netflix is a major streamline of traffic with 137 million

The differences between each other are sparing, as they both have similar interfaces and relatively core content of shows and movies. However, the major difference lies in the execution of their respective exclusives and originals. According to Eric Griffith at PCmag.com, Netflix money spends on original shows  " blows Hulu out of the water" as they spent up to 8 billion dollars on original content in 2018 alone. That is an absurd amount of money and it is made possible by Netflix's rise on the global charts for being the 24th most visited website in the world. On the other hand, Netflix's business model surrounding the mass production of original content has some unfortunate drawbacks for viewers. Netflix has seen a continued decline in the number of copyrighted shows and movies to lessen the competition of viewership to their new Netflix Originals. This has led to many of many culturally significant shows and movies to be completely removed from the site such as  Seinfeld, Southpark, and recently Family Guy. This has allowed for Hulu to become the mainstreaming platform for cable television lovers and that can no longer watch their favorite shows on Netflix. Depending on what you are trying to watch, it has become clear that there is a divide between what both streaming platforms have to offer. If you're interested in involved and deep plotted shows and movies; watch Netflix. If you would rather watch your favorite cable TV shows in real time; watch Hulu.
