Media has overtaken and consumed our lives, no matter how you absorb it, TV, social media or through the newspaper it is present and it is growing. But with this comes fake news, or false information. The steps for producing fake news include, create the fake news site, steal content, selling advertisement, spread on social media and repeat. It is found that fake news is most times produced “in order to influence the public’s opinion on a person or even a public event”. It has also been found that most of the false claims that are posted are targeted or in relation to important figures in our society today, such anyone affiliated with the government, famous singers, designers etc.
