Sell Montana to Canada

Reading Public Rhetorics

Inspired in part by Sharan Daniel's "Integrating Rhetoric and Journalism to Realize Publics" from Rhetoric and Public Affairs, this blog provides a space for students to explore rhetoric in their everyday lives.
Noticed stories of a change.org petition to sell Montana to Canada with tons of news reports covering this today.
Found it strange that from both sides of the fence, no one thinks this is a bad idea.

Losing a state and dropping to 49 states didn't have the reaction i was expecting from most news sources and from people in general.
Even the Canadians think this is a good idea and it was brought forward by a group of Americans.

I guess since Montana is so close to Canada and the area looks so much like the rest of Canada it would fit in easily. Even lawmakers in Montana were not against the idea which is another surprising response.
