News is presented in all platforms of social media and each platform has their own style. Differing forms of media could present the same story very different because of target audience, journalists, and objective. Two types of media that are considered polar opposites in today's society are Snapchat and the newspaper. Snapchat is all about the thumbnail and headline and newspaper's focus on clever title and details. Generally young teenagers are Snapchat's audience and the content creators know what looks appealing and how to gain attention. For instance, on any given day you might see a news Snapchat story headlined with "Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston?!?"(Parisi). On the flip side, older adults are paper newspaper's audience and the journalists know that they will appreciate detail and interesting facts. An example of an interesting fact you could find in a newspaper could be "Only three states don't have a Chick-Fil-A"(Leadem).I think that both outlets will use what they can to grab your attention, but Snapchat won't have much to follow up, while newspapers have a lot more content to back up their stories.
