Spot the Difference

News articles are an important part of many people's lives because that is where they receive majority  of their news. The news featured in each of these articles is very different, depending on which location they are written. I looked at the front pages of two different newspapers from today, to see how the location of where they are written affects the look of the front page itself.
Here, we have a front page of a newspaper from the Statesman Journal, written in a pretty small city called Salem, Oregon. This effects the front page because it has article titles such as: "Lost Valley Farm Sold to Lone Bidder; Cows Sold" which shows more local news than world news (Loew). The front page also has an add to Roth's, a local grocery store in Salem.

Dallas, Texas is a much bigger city than Salem, Oregon, and it is a bustling city, with many different things going on. The front page of the Dallas Morning News reflects that in the fact that it mentions events that are going on in the state, and even the world. The front page has an add to open a CD with Bank OZK.
