News about controversial rapper Tekashi 69 prison sentence was recently released to the public and the details surrounding his new shortened sentencing. TMZ reports that the plea deal has been made publicly available and will see him avoid the mandatory minimum sentence of forty-seven years should he continue cooperating with authorities. For those that don't know, in November Tekashi 69 was arrested and pled guilty on nine accounts of federal charges including racketeering, conspiracy, firearms offenses, and narcotics trafficking. Many people believe Tekashi is deserving of his near fifty years of prison sentencing and enjoy the fact he is away from society due to his unjust gang affiliated antics. Additionally, the comedic aspect of this particular case is the fact that Tekashi 69 would be released from jail when he is 69 years old and the public would love to see his name live in infamy. Sadly, this will not be the case. Takashi's The plea deal says that the U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York has agreed "not to prosecute him for several crimes," and are not pursuing charges for crimes he told prosecutors about but had not yet been charged for. Prosecutors predict a reduction of his sentencing to be reduced from 47 years to around ten years in prison due to his cooperation. With Tekashi's plea deal coming to fruition, he has been mocked on social media and has earned the nickname of "Tekashi Snitch-Nine". Federal Agents are aware of his affiliation with dangerous men and considered placing him in Witness Protection after his release from jail. But judging from Tekashi's appearance placing him in Witness Protection will certainly be a difficult task. [ 2 pictures, 1 quote, 1 link, 279 words]
