For a little while now, I have been interested in true crime and solving mysteries. What sparked this interest? A video journalist/youtuber named Danelle Hallan. The twenty-six year old mother of two has been making videos since she launched her youtube channel in March of 2017. She consistently posts weekly content varying from 20 to 60 minute videos where she discusses a specific missing persons or unsolved murder case. Danelle has now reached a youtube platform of over 267,000 subscribers and she hopes that her channel growth will bring awareness to cases that have gone cold and potentially bring a family some closure.
Danelle uses photos of the victims and clips of any public evidence in hopes to appeal to her audience's emotional side and potentially bring the victim home. She also is an active Twitter user, often retweeting pictures of missing individuals. She made one such response to a Tweet about a missing mother where she stated, “She is STILL missing you guys!! Her babies need her!!! She went missing in the same sort of area as Brookelyn Farthing!! Please spread this!!”
Danelle’s pursuits go beyond journalism--she has carried out considerable charitable pursuits for the families of victims. These campaigns have resulted in thousands of dollars being raised. With these factors in mind, I hope you take the time to subscribe to her channel and support her wonderful cause to help bring closure to families and put criminals behind bars.
