Transportation Issues

Within my community transportation is an issue as traffic is always insane. The roads are constantly being worked on causing closed lanes, which leads to stopped traffic. It is said, " We are past the point of new roads. We should be thinking about what is transportation going to look like in 15-20 years". They know the population is constantly growing and new roads won't be the answer in the future. I asked my mom questions about this and her response was " The traffic is horrible and will only get worse but that is what you get when you move to a big city" and I think this is important to note. You can't be mad about infrastructure and new buildings if it is a booming city. They are bound to attract many new people. I also asked a family friend about this issue and she replied, "I think they could find a better use of their streets and add more lanes when possible in order to not have stopped traffic". They are both using rhetorical ways to solve the issue in their own minds and the community needs to sit down and talk about this issue.  They also know not all issues can be resolved and more people equals more traffic.
