Collin County area has been running to the issue where the water has been smelling a lot more like chlorine which has raised the attention of some residents. Including my manager at work bought water bottles for employees so they wouldn't drink the water because of it and said the water is harmful to drink which made me start looking around to see if it was true. As more people raised awareness it came up on the Allen magazine. The article explained how chlorine has been used to kill bacteria since 1908 because during 1900 30.4% of deaths in the U.S were because of bacteria in the water. It is said that the city performs thousands of test a year making sure the water is safe. Later on, they add some solutions to the chlorine smell.
