There is fake news everywhere today, and there are multiple ways to spot it. The question is how and why do people create it? It’s easy to write a news article especially in this day and age where most people get their news online. It’s even easier for the reader to be convinced into believing that this fake news is actually real. However there are many ways you can spot this fake news. Many people who have written a fake news article tend to have few and unreliable sources. You can also generally tell if its fake because they typically tend to repeat themselves as they have nothing to actually write about. I looked up “how do people create fake news?’ and found a website that has articles about fake news. Believe it or not fake news is nothing new, Its been here for ages, however it has been more apparent in the last couple of years. In fact Tawana Kupe wrote an article about this. He said “Another reason for the growth of fake news and its increasing influence is the loss of confidence in public institutions, including media institutions and the profession of journalism” (Kupe). Confidence is key in us determining fake news.
