Fake news is becoming more and more common, especially with the rise of social media. Just seeing an
interesting headline, many people will believe a story without even reading the article. An example of this
is an article titled “Obama Signs Executive Order Banning The Pledge Of Allegiance In Schools
Nationwide.” by the website abc.com.co which isn’t a real news site. Just looking at the title and maybe
the first few sentences, it could have been believable that this is a true article, but after scrolling through,
the article went on to quote “Fappy the Anti-Masturbation Dolphin.” This article clearly wasn’t true, but
many people believed it because they did not continue to read the whole article.
