Getting Flint's water back on track- 20 March 2019

As a traveling journalist, Ben Panko became interested in Flint Michigan's water quality. After immediately seeing the discolored water of the residents he decided to get a closer look.
Panko interviewed one of the most affected residents and her family. LeAnne Walters told Panko about the damage that the water was causing to her family. She said, "my son would come out of the bathtub with alarming rashes and all of our hair is thinning fast." After seeing these rashes on LeAnnes son, Panko decided to help Walter dig further into the city and state officials.
In his article, he incorporated many details from LeAnne Walters and from the information they got from the city officials. Panko also included multiple outside sources and also looked into other residents water quality as well.
Ben Panko made sure that the residents of Flint Michigan were not going unheard. He wanted to make sure that the city officials were working on fixing the water while providing the residents with safe water in the meantime, directly from the Detriot water plant.
