News Feed
Nowadays, millions of people get their news electronically through mobile apps on their phone. Most recently though, news outlets are targetting a lot of social media apps in order to not only reach adults but for the younger and more tech-savvy people out there. Every time someone opens up apps like Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter, there will always be posts, ads, and many small ways news content get to the user. News will come to the viewer whether they know it or they don't. People today do not really have to do much to gain the news they need to be informed but just turn on their device, which they already do a ton, and flip through their favorite social media apps. No more going out and grabbing the latest newspaper or even catching up with others to talk about breaking stories. Now that technology has advanced enough and companies are getting smarter strategies to get the word out, "social media isn't just for keeping up with friends and family, and it isn't just for marketing," it will be to keep the general public informed.
