Apps and News

Thousands of people get their news from an app, such as WFAA, ABC, or their local news paper such as Dallas Morning News, or New York Times. Social media platforms such as Twitter and Snapchat have their own news section which anyone can access for free. Often times these apps will write an article about a topic but leave parts of the story out that go against their own views. For example I read an article from Dallas Morning News Called “ Voters' silent support for Donald Trump makes him a formidable candidate in 2020”: it talked about how the writer of this article, Gromer Jeffers Jr., went to the bar and the topic of Donald Trump was being talked about. He used personal examples of what he heard there, and his view on Trump. He also stated that “The interesting Trump talk dramatically subsided, so I paid the bartender, tipped a wonderful server and headed home to Oak Cliff. ( Jeffers Jr.)” This showing that he probably missed some other important pieces of the other sides argument.  Every news platform has similar news stories but their views will be different.
