The front page of a news article is the most crucial part of the news consumption process. Visual rhetorics also play a part in how one interprets the news. For example, color usage is a big factor in getting a consumer to become intrigued and overall read or view the article. According to http://www.arttherapyblog.com/ “The color red can affect how people function: Red means danger and commands us to stop in traffic”. Therefore, if there is a red news headline, it should cause the reader to feel a sense of emergency, leading them to ultimately read the article.
