Journalist’s Jobs
Journalist’s jobs are very interesting to take a look at because we get to see what kinds of strategies they use to do their job with. Journalists have to be factual and fully understand what they’re investigating but they also have to know how to get your attention and keep it. They have to also know how the public already perceives the topic, so they can talk more about what the public might not know. For example, the issue of climate change over the years is becoming a bigger one. Journalists will have more job opportunities because of it and have to be able to take emotional and intellectual distress while on the job. “To sustain themselves in the face of these obstacles, climate change journalists will need the full support of committed editors, as well as audience engagement and feedback”, says Linda Solomon Wood, a writer for the National Observer.
