Nicholas Casey

Nicholas Casey is a current international correspondent/journalist at the New York Times. He began work after he graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelors in Anthropology and later began writing local news articles in Half Moon Bay, California. He later was hired by the Wall Street Journal based in Mexico reporting events to do with the Mexican drug trafficking and also lead the articles over the Israeli-Palestinian conflict years later. Within the past few years, he’s switched from the Wall Street Journal to being the chief of the Andes Bureau at the New York Times. His latest stories have been mainly reporting on the recent Venezuelan political crisis, like “Venezuelans Fleeing Crisis Face Desperate Hike to 10,000 Feet.”
