Uptown vs Hometown Protest

There are many prominent differences between each of these front page newspapers other than
the location differences of Boise, Idaho and San Diego, California. Some such as easily as the
different ads that are shown at the bottom, while the Idaho Statesman shows an advertisement
for a truck, the San Diego advertisement is for (from what I can tell) Golf tickets by Farmers
insurance. Though an interesting inclusion in both newspapers is the difference between the
amount of people that the papers choose to share about like how the “Millions Hit Streets for
Women’s March” is in bold and is discussion a more national event, likely due to the paper
being apart of a city with a larger population and in need of a more general front line. While the
Idaho Statesman shares more of the smaller amount of marching in Boise as well as the line
under it “Fearing Trump’s presidency and an attack on civil rights, people make voices heard”
which develops an interest in the political and leadership influencers of the march in the easy to read headline.
