Successful in persuasion

I read a recent post about Leslie Marshall, who is a political analyst. Leslie often speaks and gives analysis from the view of a liberal regarding political topics, mostly on either the radio or Fox News. She also spoke in a Ted Talk in Morocco regarding how Americans view Islam and was given an award proving her expertise and work in journalism. As a journalist, she posted about a couple of tips that could be useful for a person to gain some experience and knowledge in the subject. Her main tips were to “get an education and experience, having knowledge about the people and their surroundings, being able to put certain things in life on a hold, and to by yourself and think in different ways.” I believe that Leslie has used public rhetoric a lot and in different manners throughout her career. Being able to use rhetoric in order to get others to believe or be convinced by you is what Leslie has taught me through the way that show works. These tips have helper her to succeed and be able to improve in correctly displaying her views as well as others’ views in a slight but effective manner. Overall, after reading more about Leslie, I found it very interesting how outside factors have made such a great effect on her career to soar high.
