In
2017, the Apple company was sued because of suspicions stemming from consumers.
These arguments were valid because the iPhone was losing battery charge after a
couple years of use. Apple apologized with a promise to “give users more visibility into the health of their iPhone’s battery” and let people see whether their
battery's age affects their phone's performance. This promise might be sincere
however as the years progress, more and more lawsuits were established. In 2019
Extreme Tech wrote in an article, "Apple’s lawyers have come up
with a novel new argument for why people shouldn’t be allowed to sue the
company for slowing down their devices with iOS updates". There is
protection for Apple’s decaying battery. This means an older iPhone with the newest
software update, will ironically be slower. Before you buy an iPhone be
careful, you might need to upgrade in a few years. [2 images, 2 links, 2 quotations, 148 words]
