Ocasio-Cortez's Green New Deal Rejected 57-0 Vote By Dems

The Green New Deal failed to pass the Senate on Tuesday. Lead democrats claimed the deal was a "sham" and possibly not the future of the United States. McConnell retweeted "I could not be more glad that the American people will have the opportunity to learn precisely where each one of their senators stand on the ‘Green New Deal’: a radical, top-down, socialist makeover of the entire US economy”. This idea mentioned by McConnell was expressed, 57 against and 0 for the proposed plan. According to Washington Examiner there were plenty of reasons why the deal was not able to be passed. One of which was the zeroing in on eliminating U.S. carbon emissions in less than 10 years without any help from nuclear energy.
