Facebook vs Twitter

Although Facebook and Twitter are very similar social media apps, they vary greatly in the way that they provide their news. Facebook's audience is an older generation that those of Twitter. Therefore, Facebook incorporates news into the user's news feed so that their audience has a very easy way of accessing their news in a quick and easy form. Facebook wants to provide the "best content out of the several thousand potential stories that could appear in your news feed each day" (Tech Crunch).

On the other hand, Twitter has a tab that its users can click in order to see an entire page full of current topics that are trending. Most of Twitter's audience are young people that are not very interested in news, therefore, there is less want to see it constantly popping up in their feed when not requested. Tech Crunch
