Journalists in the wild: Hu Shuli
By: Selena Peterson
I think I might have a hobby after writing this blog, it would be becoming as great as Hu Shuli. I chose to blog about Hu for a very specific reason, simply because she’s made such an empire out of her journalism. Most journalists have a breaking point, and that is what they are known for, but Shuil ran with her breaking point and has built astonishing career. She could be know as the founder of Caicos media that reports on everything from business, economy, conferences, or even something as simple as TV and books. The company is Beijing based and is very successful. In fact Hu shuil was once named the 87th most powerful women by Forbes. If your name has association with Forbes you have gained a major amount of credibility. Her spot could’ve been gained by her interest in fraud and corruption research. People read Hu’s work and describe her as a “bold” journalist. Hu Shuli mentions that she not only shares all the information but also embeds her outlook on the entire investigation. Hu Shuli is a big shot in women’s advocating, being minority, a CEO, an award winner, a Forbes list women, and overall a legend can be considered as paving the path for all legends like her.
