Overall Visual Rhetoric

Overall Visual Rhetoric

Visual rhetoric is defined by The Visual Communication Guy as “how we are persuaded by the things we see”. When a news outlet releases an article, depending on if there is an argument or not, the outlet is looking for how to persuade the reader to believe them. While researching visual rhetoric, I found that the rhetoric in politics and advertising the most interesting. When you first see a news headline, you are presented with an eye-catching title and a summary of what has occurred. The colors and format play a big role in how the viewer perceives the news.
