Tesla vs Xpeng
Tesla is well known for their electric cars that symbolize the future in automotive. Each model is well crafted from bumper to bumper allowing the perfect view at every angles. But one key component that caught consumers attentions is their "autopilot" features. This feature allowed the car to travel and navigate through the streets without the need of the driver's attentions. Recently, a lawsuit filed by Tesla was filed against a former Tesla employee. A Chinese automotive, Xpeng, was inspired by Tesla's visions and decided to create a similar product. Thinking they would not be noticed by Tesla, their designed were completely replicas of Tesla's autopilot programs. Cao, one of the lead engineer of Xpeng, is a former Tesla's employee who made "complete copies of Tesla's Autopilot source code." Once Tesla found out about his activities, Cao was dismissed from his positions.
