Two Ways of Receiving News
There is no doubt that America is experiencing one of the most divided and heated times since the Civil War. The far left and far right are constantly protesting, even sometimes violently, to make sure their point gets across. This all begins with the way they are being presented with their news. CNN and Fox News are completely different in how they convey their news to their respective audiences. For example, with the recent release of the Mueller Report, Fox News covered the part of the report that said President Trump did not collude with the Russians during the 2016 campaign. However, CNN chose to focus on the part of the report that stated that the President was not ‘exonerated’ in any way. According to the Washington Post, “How Americans react to the findings may depend in part on where they get their news.”  One set of facts can be translated into two totally different interpretations.
